RIYADH — Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef highlighted the role of National Initiative for Global Supply Chains in further boosting Saudi economy. Addressing the 28th World Investment Conference in Riyadh on Tuesday, he also noted that Africa, Middle East and Central Asia are seen as important regions in the field of mining and are the main supplier of all minerals in the world. "I believe that Saudi Arabia is fully playing its role to confirm cooperation based on sound and strong foundations, and the government in Saudi Arabia is working to create an integrated environment," Alkhorayef said. He stressed that Saudi Arabia is able to provide many opportunities in the production of raw materials that can be of full investment, pointing out the importance of securing this field on the regional level. He explained that Saudi Arabia plays an important role on the global level in this matter and there is a vast area in the Kingdom that is suitable for mining. It is worth noting that the Riyadh WIC brings together a group of global leaders under the slogan: "Harnessing digital transformation and sustainable growth - expanding investment opportunities." During the conference, ministers from a number of countries and international organizations participated in a round-table meeting, with the aim of discussing policies related to investment promotion strategies at this stage, which is characterized by major transformations at the global level.
