RIYADH — The number of residents registered for Awdah (Return) initiative and holding (exit and re-entry visa, final exit and visit visas of various kinds) has reached 178,452 beneficiaries from different nationalities during the period between April 22 to June 3, 2020. As part of the initiative, 12,798 individuals have returned after their countries agreed to receive them. The initiative, which seeks to facilitate return of residents of all nationalities to their home countries despite the suspension of international flights due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, can be used by accessing Awdah icon on Absher Platform by providing the following information: (Iqama number, date of birth, mobile number, city of departure and arrival airport). However, it is not necessary to have an account on Absher platform to access the service and benefit from the initiative. The Awdah initiative is being carried out in cooperation with a number of government agencies, namely the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the National Information Center, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and Saudi Arabian Airlines, in addition to the security agencies, like Directorate of Public Security, the General Directorate of Passports, the General Directorate of Prisons, and the General Administration for Expatriate Affairs, Ministry of Interior.
