JEDDAH — To celebrate the newly-restructured Bazm-E-Ittihad Jeddah (BIJ) organization's fresh vision, mission and values, a function was held at a local restaurant in Jeddah on Thursday.
Newly elected members along with prominent members of the Indian community and related organizations were among the guests.
Speaking on the occasion BIJ president Ahmeduddin Owaisi had the following words for attendees: “To lead any organization is not an easy task, several difficulties, strong efforts and stories are behind the successful leadership of AIMIM (All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen).
“Bazm-e-Ittihad Jeddah is not a paper organization, it carries hard work and dedication, it not only represents the Muslims of Hyderabad but it includes members from all parts of India.”
Owaisi recalled the memories of the founder of AIMIM, the late Maulana Abdul Wahid Owaisi and appreciated his efforts.
Ex-president of AIMIM, the late Salahuddin Owaisi, present president barrister Asaduddin Owaisi and Akbaruddin Owaisi's hard work and dedication are credited with helping develop AMIM into one of the strongest Muslim parties in India.
“Today's world is modernized and digital. We appreciate and encourage our youth to be active on social and digital media to spread our message to the world. We are always with those organizations who sincerely wish to serve the community better,” Owaisi added.
The major attractions of the program were the four newly-appointed young and dynamic members Emran Azmat, Mirza Qudrath Baig, M.N Qureshi and Sayeed Haroon who screened their views, thoughts and future plans.
Azmat gave a presentation on the development of the organization's website, Baig's presentation centered around education and the outreach unit of BIJ, Qureshi talked about the importance of monitoring broadcast input from various channels including social and print media and Haroon explained his views, ideas and work on outdoor activities.
Chief patron Syed Ali Mehmoud also addressed the gathering and said: “Bazm-e-Ittihad will work like AMIM, we will work on those projects which will be benefited by all here.
“If we really wish to serve the community, we should give a chance to our youth. I hope and wish that they will bring a revolution in the community.”
Syed Khaja Viqaruddin, BIJ joint secretary and event manager praised the hard work and exertion of young talent in his brief speech.
“Bazm-e-Ittihad Jeddah has decided to explore new talent and endowment for the reason that it provides an opportunity to them to be at the forefront and I am sure our young generation will succeed in their plans and achieve their goals and expand Bazm-e-Ittihad Jeddah's objectives.”
He also thanked all members, attendees and the media for their support and encouragement.
Yousufuddin Amjad, former BIJ secretary-general, and Hasan Bayazeed, former vice president and present advisor to BIJ, also addressed the gathering and conveyed their wishes to the new committee.
Amjad further conveyed his well wishes to Abdul Qayyum, the newly appointed secretary-general.
