RIYADH – All banks and remittance centers are scheduled to be fully operational from Sunday, according to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA). The Kingdom's central bank added that all business is set to resume at the general administrations gradually, while focusing on preparing the work premises in line with the controls and directives on the precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the returning employees carry out their office work in a safe environment. The employees' return is being carried out gradually according to the assessment of each bank. This includes the full operation of the bank branches and transfer centers, according to normal working hours, as specified by SAMA instructions issued prior to the curfew periods. In a statement to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, SAMA said: "The return decision is in implementation of the royal approval issued on May 26 for allowing staff in ministries, government authorities and the private sector to resume office activities following the controls set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development." The return of staff is being carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the related authorities. As of June 21, the return to normal life in all regions and cities of the Kingdom will proceed to pre-curfew conditions, except for Makkah city, while complying fully with the health and preventative directives and mandatory social distancing.
