Arabian Centres Company (ACC), the largest contemporary lifestyle destination network in the Kingdom, has announced that 20 of its shopping centres in 10 cities will remain open from Thursday May 14 to Friday May 22 with daily opening hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in line with recently announced government guidelines. Makkah Mall will stay closed while the city remains under 24-hour curfew. ACC visitors will continue to be required to wear a mask and gloves as will mall staff to ensure the health and safety of visitors and employees. To protect public safety all cinemas, entertainment facilities, hair dressers, beauty salons, will remain closed in line with government directives. Cafes and restaurants will only provide takeaway and delivery services. Mall staff will take the temperature of all mall visitors, including store staff and delivery workers, and limits will be placed on capacity to ensure proper social distancing measures can be applied. Arabian Centres has now installed sanitization and thermal tunnels in the entrances to all 20 of the shopping centers that customers and staff will pass through when they enter to further enhance measures that ensure health and safety of all through the remainder of Ramadan. The Government directive further stipulates the return to a 24-hour curfew from May 23 to May across all cities and regions of the Kingdom. — SG
