RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has approved increasing funds allocated for the Iftar Meal Project to SR5 million that will benefit one million people. The project will be implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in 18 countries around the world as a part of the ministry's projects during the holy month of Ramadan. Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for his continuous support to the ministry's various works and programs in serving Islam and Muslims. He said the Ministry has completed preparations to implement the project in 18 countries through religious attaché's offices in the Kingdom's embassies, and Islamic centers that are under the ministry's supervision in a number of countries worldwide. "The implementation of the project this year will be through the distribution of food baskets following all precautionary measures being taken in those countries to prevent the spread of the coronavirus," he said.
