MAKKAH — The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has completed the cleaning and sterilization work of the cover (kiswa) and surface of the Holy Kaaba in Makkah. The Presidency, represented by the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Holy Kaaba Kiswa (Cover), undertook the cleaning work through a specialized technical team before the advent of the fasting month of Ramadan as part of an annual customary schedule. The specialized technical team, equipped with the latest modern devices and mechanisms, carried out the cleaning and sterilization work within a short period of time, removing dirt particles while maintaining the cleanliness and elegance of Islam's holiest shrine, matching its spiritual ambience, especially with the holy month approaching. The Presidency is exerting all efforts to offer the best services for the Holy Kaaba in a way that fulfills the aspirations of the Saudi rulers and in line with the directives of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, head of the Presidency. The cleaning and sterilization works were carried out following the highest quality and standards and under the supervision and follow-up of the Deputy Head of the Presidency Ahmed Al-Mansoori, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
