RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Thursday reported a sharp increase in the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the total number of infections in the Kingdom to 3,287. Spokesman for the Ministry of Health Mohammed Al-Abdel Ali disclosed that 355 cases have been detected in the last 24 hours. However, he said, the total number of recovery cases have increased to 666 with the latest recovery of 35 infected people. The number of virus-related deaths rose in the Kingdom to 44. Out of the 355 new cases, 89 were recorded in Madinah, 83 in Riyadh, 78 in Makkah, and 45 in Jeddah, the ministry said.
