Fahd Al-Manaee Saudi Gazette MAKKAH – The Makkah mayoralty signed four new contracts worth SR1.5 billion for the implementation of the fourth ring road and its intersections in Makkah. The projects will be completed in two years. Osama Al-Bar, Makkah Mayor, said the projects will be implemented by reputable companies that have long years of experience executing complex projects. The companies will implement the projects at the intersections of the fourth ring road with Madinah Road, Taif-Sail Road and the old Jeddah-Makkah Road, the mayor added. Prince Mansour Bin Miteb, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, is keeping a close eye on development projects that will serve Makkah and its residents, the mayor said. “We, at the mayoralty, seek to build a sophisticated network of modern roads linking all parts of the holy city,” Al-Bar said. The fourth ring road will ease traffic congestions and allow vehicles to get to different destinations inside Makkah in a short time.
