Parking lots at Kudai, Al-Omarah and Al-Aziziyah are ready for pilgrims to park their cars. Pilgrims and visitors will be guided to these three car parks in order to reduce traffic congestion in the central area of the city. All parking areas have been asphalted and illuminated. In addition, the parking facilities will have mobile canteens strictly monitored by the mayoralty. Cars parked in unauthorized locations within the city will be immediately towed away, the mayor warned. He said impounded cars would be kept in five lots located at Makkah-Al-Madinah Highway, Makkah-Jeddah Highway, Makkah-Taif (Al-Sail) Road, Makkah-Taif (Al-Kar) Road and Makkah-Laith Road. These lots have also been provided with all necessary facilities such as bathrooms and places to rest. The mayoralty is also taking care of cleaning and maintenance of the parking lots.
