Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Children of Pakistan International School English Section (PISJ-ES) Rehab, clad in Pakistani folk dresses, performed a tableau in the inaugural session of the Travel and Tour exhibition. The performance was watched by a large gathering, including the Ambassador of Pakistan Raja Ali Ejaz and Consul General Khalid Majid. The performance was appreciated and applauded by the people. The Pakistani pavilion in the exhibition was organized by Muhammad Kamili a Saudi tourism investor and Faisal Tahir his Pakistani representative in coordination with the Pakistan Consulate. Arshad Munir consular (Press) at Pakistan Consulate told Saudi Gazette that the Pakistan Ambassador has said that Pakistan is a tourist friendly country and tourist from across the world visit Pakistan to see the archaeological sites, natural sceneries, and historical places in Pakistan. The Ambassador, while visiting a Pakistan pavilion at a three-day Travel and Tour exhibition being held at Hilton Hotel, said that the current government recognizes the importance of the tourism in the economy and has provided many incentives to the tourists as well as the tourist operators. Getting a tourist visa to Pakistan has been made easier. He added, "Any Saudi brother or sister who wants to go to Pakistan for tourism should visit Pakistan Embassy or Consulate and they will be facilitated in every manner." Around 25 companies from across the world including Pakistan are participating in the exhibition. It is the 10th edition of the exhibition and Pakistan is participating in it for the first time. The exhibition is meant to explore and promote the tourism opportunities in Saudi Arabia and participating countries. Munir said the Ambassador met the organizers of the Pakistani pavilion and appreciated their efforts and expressed his hope that Pakistan will continue to participate in the next editions of the exhibition.
