JEDDAH — Al-Safa police in Jeddah have detained two men and three women accused of various immoral activities. They allegedly promoted liquor and prostitution, especially to what police described as “high class” clients. Their arrests followed a tip-off to the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Hai'a) in Bawadi district. Investigations showed an Arab who worked as a manager for a prominent company was providing the necessary cover to the main suspect. Three Arab women were later detained in homes in north Jeddah with liquor and drugs in their possession.
