JEDDAH – The Haramain High Speed Train will operate as many as 16 services per day during the mid-academic year vacation which is starting from Jan. 3 and ending on Jan. 19. The new non-stop services will start from 8 a.m. and will continue until 11 p.m. throughout the week, according to a statement of the department of the Haramain Train project, carried by the Saudi Press Agency. The train will operate service between Makkah and Madinah via King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah and King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh. The Haramain Train resumed on Dec. 18 its services between Makkah and Madinah after a gap of over two and a half months. The train had started operation from the railway station of the new terminal of KAIA Jeddah on Dec. 11 after the main station in Sulaymaniyah district in Jeddah became inoperative following a massive fire on Sept. 29.
