RIYADH — Minister of Interior Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Saud Bin Naif launched 13 new electronic services at the Ministry of Interior's Absher portal in a ceremony held at his office on Tuesday evening. The new services cover a number of sectors under the ministry, such as Public Security represented by the General Department of Traffic; the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat), and the Agency for Civil Status at the ministry, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Prince Abdul Aziz also inaugurated the application of the first edition of Absher Business, and the service of registering violations of public decorum electronically provided by the Public Security. The new services launched by the minister included four services for the General Department of Traffic, covering vehicle sales service; the seized vehicles service; service for enquiring about foreign vehicle violations, in addition to the service to object to various violations. The new services for Jawazat included services for foreign investor; visa services for holders of Premium Residency; service of inquiring about the border number; and the service of extending the period of exit and reentry visa for those who are abroad. The services launched by the minister for the Agency of Civil Status included registration of birth service; the updated "Taqdeer" service; service to change professions of civilians; service for issuing new family registry for mothers; and service of issuing family registry in the case of marriage. It is noteworthy that the number of those who received digital IDs through the Absher platform exceeded 14 million, and all of them are now able to access to Absher services via the Internet, as well as the rest of the government platforms associated with the National Information Center. Gen. Khaled Al-Harbi; Deputy Minister of Interior for Security Affairs Muhammad Al-Muhanna; Director General of the National Information Center Dr. Issam Al-Waqeit; Director General of Civil Defense Lt. Gen. Suleiman Al-Amru, and a number of other senior officials.
