Bowlers dominate in EPCA tourney

The ongoing Aftab Spices EPCA Ka Junoon T20 tournament saw exciting matches during this knockouts week. EPCA KA Junoon T20 is being organized by Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) and is sponsored by Aftab Spices.
First Division:
Quarterfinals:
Khobar Rangers C.C. won against Adpco Friends C.C. after a tie. Batting first, Waqas Shah 33 helped KRCC to post 151 for 8 wickets. Abdul Azeez grabbed 4 wickets. AFCC managed to score 151 – 8 after 20 overs. Vasim scored 55. Syed Furqan took 3 wickets. KRCC declared winners on the first 10 overs tally. KRCC won by 2 runs.
Intelligent Hawks C.C. got victory over Cloud 7 C.C by 6 wickets. C7CC added 139 for 10 wickets. Shafi whacked 27 off 18. Sajid Khan took 4 wickets. IHCC chased the target in 15.4 overs in reply. Faisal Khan top-scored with 55 off 22, Aamir Goraya finished off in style with 30 off 40. Vineedh and Tejus took 2 wickets each.
Khobar Gymkhana C.C. lost to Weatherford Al-Rushaid Stars C.C. KGCC collected 141 for 10. Rais Alam made 65. Mutaiyab took 3 wickets. WACC chased the target in 17 overs. Farhan scored 43. Yahya Gul claimed 5 wickets.
AUR Associates C.C knocked out the tournament favourites DCA First XI C.C. AACC scored 163 for 7 wickets. Ali Mehdi belted 77 off 53, Ahsan scored 34. Avais grabbed 4 wickets and Saeed snared 3 wickets. DCAFCC bundled out for 98. Rehan made 36. Naveed picked up 4 wickets.
Semifinals:
AUR Associates C.C defeated Weatherford Al-Rushaid C.C. by 17 runs. AACC scored 177 for the loss of 3 wickets. Ahsan hit 47 and Naeem made 43. Majid, Shaik and Naveed grabbed 1 wicket each. WACC managed 160 runs in reply. Mutaiyab scored 43 off 29. Ali Mehdi took 3 wickets.
Intelligent Hawks C.C. got victory over Khobar Ranger C.C by 7 wickets. KRCC added 129 for 10 wickets. Saddam made 41 off 33. Sajid Khan took 4 wickets and Saleem Dar claimed 3 wickets. IHCC chased the target in 11.5 overs in reply. Faisal Khan top-scored with 48 off 19, Nisar finished off in style with 32 off 22. Inzamam, Khatib and Qamar took 1 wicket each.

Bin Delamah Yorkers C.C thumped Zalmi United C.C by 57 runs. BDYCC accumulated 156. Ameen scored a super 54 and Waheed scored 45 after the early losses. Javed and Saadon grabbed 3 wickets each. ZUCC were bundled out for just 99. Obaid scored 20. Kiran and Krichnanunni claimed 3 wickets each.
Enerco C.C. won against Tuskers C.C. by 12 runs. ECC scored 174 for 6 wickets. Mehtab belted 47 off 21, Kamran scored 46. Kannan and Renjith took 2 wickets each. TSCC made 162 for 8 in 20 overs. Renjith slammed 52 off 22. Qadir picked up 4 wickets and Mumtaz claimed 3 wickets. — SG
