RIYADH — The Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) has completed a study for the on-job-training (Tamheer) and said it will soon announce the results of the study aimed at substituting expatriates with Saudis. It said the study will consist of "Tamheer Diploma" program to provide more training to the diploma holders and Tamheer Ihlal (substitution) which will replace expatriates with Saudi employees under a certain period of time. Dr. Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al-Sudairy, director general of the fund, said the Tamheer diploma will target Saudi men and women who are holding diplomas from the institutes and technical, health and administrative colleges. He told a gathering of businessmen and women in the eastern city of Al-Ahsa on Tuesday that Tamheer Ihlal has been designed to enable Saudi employees replace the expatriates in a certain period of time during which the skills, knowledge and expertise of the expatriates will be transferred to the Saudis. He said the expansion of Tamheer through the inclusion of new programs is aimed at supplying the needs of the market sectors and the economic activities through the employment of the national cadres. "Tamheer is aimed at providing the Saudi cadres with more training opportunities," he added. Sudairy said the updates being made into the program were entailed by its previous successes during the past period. "The program has contributed to the appointment of the trainers and trainees in the private sector establishments and provided them with the required know-how and expertise needed by the labor market," he said.
