Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are all set to sing their way into the hearts of the Diaspora in Riyadh, when they perform in the capital on Oct. 25. The announcement was posted on Twitter by Turki Al-Asheikh, Royal Court Adviser and chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in the Kingdom. "For our Indian and Pakistani brothers and sisters in Riyadh, Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be waiting for you on the 25th of October," the tweet read. Aslam was last seen performing a rendition of Wohi Khuda Hai on Coke Studio. Posted last week on YouTube, the song — which is legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's most popular numbers — has already garnered 13 million views. Rahat, for his part, performed Dam Mastam on the same platform, the video for which was posted a day ago and had been watched by more than 3.5 million viewers. The pricing of the tickets for the event is set from SR50 to SR 250 for this concert. Al-Asheikh inaugurated the Riyadh Season events at the Boulevard zone in the northern part of the capital on Thursday night, with an audience exceeding 600,000 people witnessing the colorful start to the Riyadh spectacle. Al-Asheikh stressed that these accomplishments and changes wouldn't have been made were it not for the support of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, praying to Allah Almighty to protect him and grant the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman a long life. Then he declared the season open. — SG
