JEDDAH — The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) has recognized East Jeddah Hospital (EJH) as an accredited training center for otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. The accreditation was recommended by a committee comprising specialists from the SCHS, which visited the complex to inspect the applied standards, work mechanism, activities and training courses for the fellowship of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at all levels, in addition to provision of a number of the department's fundamentals for accrediting it as a training center, and the efforts exerted by the management of the complex for improving medical services through training programs. This accreditation is considered a new scientific achievement in EJH and it follows an official visit paid by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS). Speaking on the new scientific achievement in EJH, Dr. Rajab Al-Zahrani assistant professor and department supervisor, mentioned that this success is a result of the support of the hospital administration, training department and all department staff. He added that all consultants, staff and previous head of the department played very important in achieving the accreditation.
