RIYADH — Coalition Forces intercepted and destroyed on Monday morning a drone launched by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militias from Sanaa toward the Kingdom, spokesman of the Coalition Forces Col. Turki Al-Maliki said. The drone was destroyed in the Yemeni airspace. Col. Maliki said the Houthi terrorists continue to launch drones to carry out hostile and terrorist acts by targeting civilians and civilian facilities, but they have failed in their efforts. He stressed deterrent measures against these terrorist militias and neutralizing Houthi capabilities will continue in accordance with the international humanitarian laws. On Saturday, the Arab Coalition intercepted and destroyed a bomb-laden drone launched by the Houthi militia toward a populated residential area in Saudi Arabia's Asir region. Another Houthi drone targeting the southern border city of Jazan was intercepted and shot down hours earlier on Saturday. Last week, a cowardly Houthi attack on Abha International Airport resulted in the death of a Syrian national and injuries to 21 others.
