The sports circles in the Kingdom and the world are looking forward to King Abdullah Sports City's Arena, which will witness the first special Fight Night of its kind in the Kingdom when global sporting phenomenon and two time world champion Amir ‘King' Khan will vie for first and only championship organized by the World Boxing Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The upcoming Fight Night will take place on Friday, July 20, and is considered as golden opportunity for boxing fans who will enjoy the show's excitement and suspense. Prior to that, the boxers will feature in a number of sport gyms in Jeddah as part of the events of the "Boxing Week" in Jeddah Season, where Amir Khan will appear in a number of gyms in Jeddah including "Fitness Time Gym". The shows will be attended by a number of famous personalities including Qusai Kheder, Badr Al-Zaidan and Nasser Al-Odah, in a week replete with suspense. Tickets for the major sporting event will be sold at the Virgin Mega Stores as well as in "sharek.sa" platform and Jeddah Season's official website "Jeddah.sa". Eng. Raed Abu Zinada, the general manager of Jeddah Season, announced that: "Our aim in Jeddah Season is to improve the quality of life at the Red Sea Bride by organizing activities that will enrich the lives of the individual and the community, as part of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to promote the well-being of the Saudi community, and contribute to the fields of arts and culture, as well as stimulate the growth of sports and entertainment sectors." Abu Zinada added: "The city of Jeddah is characterized by a rich cultural diversity, an extended historical heritage, and a strategic location on the Red Sea coast, making it a cultural nesting area, which enhances our confidence in expecting great success for Jeddah Season. The events were so organized such that they attract the various categories of the community including youth, children and families. Efforts are exerted to make the events a success, especially since they are held in the attraction season of Jeddah, which is an important catalyst for success." Boxing is a major attraction for the Saudi community at the moment, especially in the wake of the medals won in foreign competitions by male and female Saudi champions. Out of this orientation and attention, the organizing committee of Jeddah Season sought to select a world champion and celebrities in martial arts in order to consolidate the concept of this world sport.
