RIYADH — As many as 14,728 families have benefited from the housing options and financing solutions provided by the "Sakani" program of the Ministry of Housing during the month of April. Out of this, 7,088 families have started living in their homes, bringing the total number of families, who have benefited from various options of the program since the beginning of the year, to 54,965 in various regions of the Kingdom. Those who have registered with the ministry and the Real Estate Development Fund are the beneficiaries of the program. The program has announced the names of the beneficiaries and their national ID numbers on its website. The number of beneficiaries of the program in March reached 14,232 families. A total of more than 157,000 families have been benefited during the year 2018. The Ministry of Housing Spokesman Saif Al-Suwailem said that the Sakani program continues to provide its services to the beneficiaries in accordance with their needs, wishes and abilities. The ministry is keen to speed up the ownership of residences and provide them with better services, which aims to raise the proportion of residential ownership to 70 percent by 2030, he said. "As part of the efforts of Sakani to allot suitable housing units, construction works of 53 residential projects are going on at present and this is in partnership with real estate developers in different parts of the Kingdom.
