'Besat Alreyh' a distinctive model for charity work: Princess Adela
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 15 - 05 - 2019

JEDDAH — Princess Adela Bint Abdullah, president of the Board of Trustees of the National Charity Foundation for Home Care (Nara'ak), praised Saudi charity workers for their participation in humanitarian work and the good deeds they were carrying out for the benefit of people in need.
She made the remarks on Monday while launching the Besat Alreyh (Flying Carpet), an exhibition organized in Jeddah to raise funds for the national charity for home healthcare for six days every Ramadan.
The exhibition, which she described as a distinctive model for charities, is running in its 20th edition from May 12 to May 17 at the Jeddah Exhibitions and Conventions Center. The exhibition will be open from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The princess commended everyone who were participating in the humanitarian mission and using it as an opportunity to raise awareness about the sufferings of the sick and needy and the need to help them socially and physically.
"The exhibition Besat Alreyh 20 is a unique work organized by Nara'ak to raise contributions and generate resources for programs of the foundation. The exhibition is a charity event and a distinguished front for financially supporting patients and their families," Princess Adela said. "The foundation will provide the needy patients with the necessary medical and social needs, in addition to supporting home care centers at public hospitals."
The princess noted with pride that Saudi women proved their worth in charitable work and volunteerism. She said the first two charity social events registered in the Ministry of Labor and Social Development were spearheaded by women's associations.
"This is a clear evidence of the care of Saudi women to do good and their desire to actively contribute to the interdependence and development of society," Princess Adela said.
At the end of her statement, she thanked everyone who contributed and exerted their efforts to support the foundation in achieving its goals of reducing the burden on government hospitals by optimizing use to expand their absorptive capacity. "This support reflects the solidarity among the members of the good Saudi society," said the princess.
She thanked the founders of the foundation and all the members of the Board of Trustees for their great efforts and great services. "They cherish their precious time to assume social responsibility toward our society and our homeland, to paint the most beautiful picture of the meaning of altruism," said Princess Adela.
