The Saudi Orix T20 Big Bash of the EPCA produced some interesting matches recently. The championship, organized by Eastern Province Cricket Association, is sponsored by Saudi Orix Leasing Company.
Premier Division
Khobar Gymkhana Karachi Strikers CC defeated Honda Redbacks CC by 160 runs. Batting first, KGKSCC posted 250-4. Rizwan Samra made 112 off 54 balls and Arslan Ahsan scored 50 off 30. Mubeen Khan claimed 2 wickets. In reply, HRCC was restricted to 90-9 in 20 overs. Mubeen Khan scored 34 off 30. Abu Huraira took 3 wickets and Shoaib Khan 2.
Fireox Unit CC won against SB Dilnawaz CC by 41 runs. FUCC put on 198-7. M. Riaz made 74 off 41 and Naveed Ahmad 61 off 36. Abdul Naheed claimed 3 wickets. SBDCC managed 157-9. Munawar Ch. hit 65 off 44. Falik Sher grabbed 3 wickets.
Marooj Stars outplayed Pan Gulf Cricket Club by 2 wickets. Batting first, PGCC recorded 193-7. Mohsin Rajput scored 68 off 42 and Kashif Riaz 53 off 24. Shahid Siddiqui grabbed 3 wickets. In reply, MSCC chased the target in 19.4 overs. Ahmad Faran blasted 48 off 32 and Shahid Siddiqui made 29 off 21. Ali Rizwan and Kashif Riaz claimed 2 wickets each.
Pak Saudi CC beat Intelligent Honda CC by 8 runs. Batting first, PSCC posted 171-7. Shoaib Ameen fired 44 off 29. Imran Arif grabbed 2 wickets. In reply, IHCC posted 163-6. Kashif Abbas scored 85 off 54 and Imran Arif 51 off 34. Nasir, Nasir Khan and Shoaib Ameen grabbed 2 wickets each.
Prime Division
Tamimi CC defeated Index Emerald Ashes CC by 6 wickets. IEACC was skittled out for 159. Mahesh scored 62. Kamran Nazir took 4 wickets and Asghar 3. In reply, TCC chased the target in 17.4 overs. Asghar Altaf blasted 81 off 43 and Imran Munir 46 off 38. Rajesh grabbed 2 wickets.
Bin Delamah Yorker CC won against Team ECI SSQ Bin Delamah CC by 4 wickets. TESBCC tallied 171-6. Raja Nadeem hit 54 off 41. Sarath Babu claimed 3 wickets. In reply, BDYCC chased the target in 19.4 overs. Sarath Babu hit 49 off 25 and Ansar Mohammad 36 off 28. Hashmat Ali claimed 3 wickets.
PIA Falcons CC won against Fireox Zalmi United CC by 3 wickets. FZUCC amassed 202-7. M. Javed blasted 68 off 42 and Imran Farooqui 56 off 23. Qasid Ali grabbed 3 wickets and Sohail 2. In reply, PFCC chased the target on last ball. M. Farhan smashed 59 off 33 and Avais remained not out on 42 off 25. Umair and Javed grabbed 2 wickets each.
