The Council of Ministers, presided over by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace here on Tuesday, approved a national center for developing the non-profit sector. The center will enjoy legal status as well as financial and administrative independence. It will be linked to the Prime Minister. It's goal will be to activate the role of the non-profit sector organizations and facilitate in providing services for licensing. The Cabinet also approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for technical cooperation between the Saudi Human Rights Commission (HRC) and the US State Department's Office for Monitoring and Combating Human Trafficking. The Cabinet thanked the Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) for awarding Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman the Prize for the "Most Influential Personality in the World, 2018" in recognition of his efforts in serving Islam and Muslims. The Cabinet approved granting the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) the authority to give financial rewards to whoever (other than GAZT employees) contributes to uncovering violation of its regulations. The Cabinet approved a plan for setting up and organizing the National Center for Waste Management. The Cabinet decided to recognize the official travel document (passport) issued by Interpol for employees who carry out official tasks related to its functions.
