Demand for luggage picks up as summer holidays approach

JEDDAH – Tourist arrivals in Saudi Arabia are forecast to increase by 7 percent to 17.3 million in 2013, growing by an average of 8.5 percent a year through to the end of 2017, a new study on “Saudi Arabia Tourism Report Q1 2013” showed.
In this respect, the Kingdom's hospitality sector is also set to grow in tandem with tourist arrivals.
BMI forecast that there will be about 113,000 hotel rooms in Saudi Arabia by 2017, with occupancy rates increasing to 54 percent.
