THE General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) held its third periodical meeting with officials from national airline companies operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia yesterday at GACA headquarters in the capital city of Riyadh. The meeting aims to promote civil aviation industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, to improve the efficiency and quality of the product at hand, and improve the level of services provided. It also aim to enhance communication with officials of the national airlines, identify some of the challenges, and observe possible security, operational, technical difficulties. Furthermore, cases of late payments of financial dues to GACA. It is also an opportunity to develop appropriate solutions to ensure continuation of work at an accelerated pace. The meeting started with the discussion of the minutes of meetings of the previous session and what has been achieved so far. It also discussed the mechanism used to find suitable solutions to existing challenges and the methods used to address some of the comments raised during the meeting. The third meeting discussed a number of issues related to facilitating services and improving travelers experience throughout our airports, domestic and international. An effort was made to highlight the comment of national airlines through follow committees that aim to inform GACA of any problems that may arise and work to solve them. GACA is to be informed of the steps and actions taken within a specific period of time. The meeting was attended by the Economic Policy Sector, Air Transport Sector, Airport sector, Aviation Standards, Aviation security, Common Services Sector, International Cooperation Sector, King Abdulaziz International Airport, Riyadh Airport Company, Dammam Airport Company, Saudi Ground Services, Saudia Airlines, Nass Air, Nesma Air, Saudi Gulf Airlines and Flyadeal.
