Contrasting wins for Al-Burj, ARM

JEDDAH — Kanoo League witnessed contrasting wins by ARM United (by 7 runs) and Al-Burj (by 9 wickets), while Pak Zalmi and Butt Sports downed Shawahid Tech and CH XI in the 8th week matches.
This tournament is sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Arsalan (87) and Shan (54) aggressive batting display along with excellent bowling by Zeeshan (4 for 40) and Farhad (3 for 24) gave ARM United a narrow 7-run win over Saudi Oil. Bowlers Fida (2 for 30), Syed (2 for 29) and Abdullah (2 for 16) bowled well in tandem followed by Gohar's quickfire unbeaten 77 to give Pak Zalmi an impressive 5-wicket win over Shawahid Tech. Shani's unbeaten 74 coupled with Bilal's fine all-round display (3 for 16 and 46 not out) enabled Al-Burj to beat Jeddah Gladiators by 9 wickets despite Abu Bakar's solo knock of 83. Hasnath (60) and Tauseef (61 not out) enabled Butt Sports to post 216 for 3. Later, hostile bowling from Umer, Hasnian and Abdullah (2 wickets apiece) gave their team a 48-run win CH XI.

ARM United beat Saudi Oil by 7 runs. ARM United 190 for 5 in 20 overs (Arsalan 87, Shan 54, Moazzam 3 for 55, Zia 2 for 24). Saudi Oil 183 all out in 19.2 overs (Aftab 34, Ameeq 24, Farhad 3 for 24, Zeeshan 4 for 40).
Al-Burj beat Jeddah Gladiators by 9 wickets. Jeddah Gladiators 169 all out (Abubakar 83, Bilal 3 for 16, Rashid 2 for 6). Al-Burj 170 for 1 in 10.2 overs (Shani 74 not out, Bilal 46 not out).
Pak Zalmi beat Shawahid Tech by 5 wickets.
Shawahid Technology 165 for 9 (Shad Khan 37, Samad 21, Fida 2 for 37, Syed 2 for 29, Abdullah 2 for 16). Pak Zalmi 166 for 5 (Gohar 77 not out, Raza 37 not out).
Butt Sports beat CH XI by 48 runs. Butt Sports 216 for 3 in 18 overs (Hasnath 60, Tauseef 61 not out, Abdullah 45 not out). CH XI 168 all out (Zaid 48, Nasir 29, Umer 2 for 24, Hasnain 2 for 30, Abdullah 2 for 47).
