LONDON — Rafa Benitez watched his Chelsea side beat Middlesbrough 2-0 in the FA Cup fifth round Wednesday and then announced he would leave at the end of the season, delivering an emotional outburst that included a swipe at the club's fans and hierarchy. As with most games in his turbulent reign that began in November, Benitez was barracked by a section of supporters at Riverside Stadium. An unconvincing win was sealed by goals from Ramires and Victor Moses in the second half, setting up an eye-catching quarterfinal against Manchester United at Old Trafford on March 10. A defiant Benitez wasn't in any mood to celebrate after the match, however. "They should concentrate on supporting the team," Benitez said of the club's fans. "In the end, they are not making any favors to the club, to the rest of the fans and the players." Referring to the club's hierarchy, Benitez added: "It's because someone made a mistake. They put my title (as) 'interim manager,' and I will leave at the end of the season." Many are still angry at Di Matteo departing, after he led the club to a first ever Champions League title last season, while others haven't forgiven Benitez for allegedly disparaging comments he made toward Chelsea while Liverpool manager earlier in his career. Others don't like his style of football, either. Atletico sets up Cup final with Real Madrid Atletico Madrid set up a King's Cup final with city rival Real after Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao scored in a 2-2 second leg draw at Sevilla Wednesday, to progress 4-3 on aggregate. Costa put the visitors in charge after carving an opening for himself in the sixth minute and firing low into the far corner. The Brazilian striker then broke away down the left and crossed low for Colombia's Falcao, who darted in front of his marker to score in the 29th. Sevilla's most dangerous player Jesus Navas breathed life back into the tie with a curling shot that went in off the far post just before the break. Sevilla pressed hard in the second half but did not find a way past Thibaut Courtois again until Ivan Rakitic scored in time added on. Nine-time Cup winner Atletico will meet its neighbor Real in the May 18 final after Jose Mourinho's men swept past holders Barcelona Tuesday to secure a 4-2 aggregate victory. The venue for the match has still to be decided. Bayern, Stuttgart in semis Arjen Robben scored late in the first half for Bayern Munich to beat title-holder Borussia Dortmund 1-0 on Wednesday and reach the German Cup semifinals. Dortmund beat Bayern 5-2 in last season's final and won its second consecutive Bundesliga championship. But this has been Bayern's season and it has a 17-point lead over Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Stuttgart also advanced to the semifinals for the first time since 2007 with a comfortable 2-0 victory over second-division Bochum. Christian Gentner scored with a deflected shot in the 18th and Vedad Ibisevic notched his first goal of 2013 in the 83rd to secure Stuttgart's victory. Bayern and Stuttgart will join Wolfsburg and Freiburg in the semifinal draw Sunday. Beckham shows mettle David Beckham showed his aging legs can still last the pace and Zlatan Ibrahimovic continued his prolific scoring as the two stars helped Paris Saint-Germain beat bitter rival Marseille 2-0 to reach the French Cup quarterfinals Wednesday. Beckham had played a 15-minute cameo from the bench in last Sunday's 2-0 win against Marseille in the league, helping to set up the second goal for Ibrahimovic. The 37-year-old former England captain stood up to the test of a frenzied Cup game which saw him yellow-carded late on, shortly before going off in the 86th minute. Ibrahimovic appeared in little mood to share the spotlight, as he took his season's tally to 26 goals in all competitions, grabbing his first in the 34th minute before earning and converting a penalty in the 64th. PSV in Dutch Cup final Teenage striker Jurgen Locadia took full advantage of a rare start to score a hat trick and put Dutch Cup holder PSV Eindhoven into a final meeting with AZ Alkmaar Wednesday. The final will be played in Rotterdam on May 9. — Agencies
