RIYADH – The Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA) has launched a special website in English for its "Smart Investor" program in line with its current efforts to expand the targeted sector, Saudi Press Agency reported Wednesday. The site contains a variety of choices for children aimed at boosting their financial capabilities in an easy and entertaining manner suitable to their age. The material for children consists of mental competitions, applications, fora and the history of some of the major currencies in the world. There are also cartoon stories that the children can download from the present and past editions of the “Intelligent Investor" magazine. The site has been linked to all the other social communications tools of the authority, which will publish the activities and contributions of the Intelligent Investor program. The program is considered one of the knowledge programs aimed at developing the financial capabilities of children, instilling in them sound financial principles. The Arabic version program reached more than 3.5 million people last year through its participation in a number of economic and social events, in addition to its visits to a number of boy and girl schools in the Kingdom. — SG
