RIYADH – The Saudi Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr.Tawfiq Fozan Al Rabiah has approved the formation of the Saudi-French Business Council (SFBC) at the Council of Saudi Chambers (SCC) for 2013-2016 term. The approval included the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Ali bin Ladin as chairman and Engineer Faiz Salim Al Alweet as deputy chairman on the Saudi side of SFBC. The formation of the Saudi side of SFBC was based on the full consensus of its members at a recent meeting before submitting it to the Minister for approval. The two new appointees hope to effectively contribute for the promotion of business relations between the two countries, strengthening the ties between Saudi businessmen and their counterparts and boost Saudi exports to France. There are currently around 32 business councils at the SCC that link Saudi businessmen and their counterparts in many countries that have economic ties with the Kingdom. These councils aim at acting as forums for exchange of business matters for both parties, solving business problems between their countries and finding ways to promote economic and business ties between them.
