Texas Instruments (TI) has launched the Arabic edition of the TI-Nspire CX handheld graphing calculator and TI-Navigator interactive classroom management system. The solution is designed to help schools improve the teaching of mathematics and science by creating a more interactive learning environment, proven to encourage student engagement. It is the first time such an advanced technological education solution has been made available in the Arabic language. By using the TI-Nspire CX handhelds in the classroom, teachers are able to encourage the learning of mathematics and science by applying complex scientific rules and mathematical equations to real life situations through graphical representations. This provides students with important visual aids that not only make the lessons more enjoyable, but also support them in their understanding of the subject matter. The TI-Navigator system enables teachers to keep a close eye on each student's progress by having access to individual screens during class. This allows the teacher to offer personal attention to support each student's learning process. To promote adoption of the system, Texas Instruments has launched the first Regional Training Center in the Middle East. Located in Al Kharj, the center will offer teachers instruction in how to use the TI-NSpire CX handhelds and TI-Navigator system to augment the standard curriculum.
