Ahmad Al-Amri Okaz/Saudi Gazette YANBU – The executive president of The Royal Commission of Yanbu, Dr. Alaa Naseef, inaugurated on Monday the seventh flowers and gardens festival. The event, organized by the commission, was attended by heads of industrial companies, directors of government directorates and a number of officials. Dr. Naseef toured the 125 wings of participating companies, and listened to the explanation of the wings by the director general of operations and maintenance and chairman of the festival's organizing committee, Yusuf Al-Hujaili. Dr. Naseef said that the commission seeks to provide a distinctive level of entertainment to Yanbu residents. Afforestation and irrigation director Saleh Al-Zahrani explained that the flower carpet is more than 7,000 square meters in size, and contains more than two million flowers. The carpet's design comprising 19 different flowers explains the history of Yanbu Industrial City. Al-Zahrani said that the festival consists of many educational and entertainment events for children and families.
