(STC) topped the list of the biggest GCC telecom companies in 2012, surpassing its local and regional peers, Middle Eastern economic magazine Amwal said, adding that STC could realize a market value amounting SR23.514 billion. In addition, STC could successful solidify its corporate position as one of the best regional telecom companies and move global as a group represented by 18 local and international entities wholly or partially owned by STC providing services to more than 170 million customers in 11 countries, 32 million of which are located in Saudi Arabia alone. Besides, STC stands as an active economic entity participating to the development of all Saudi economic sectors by implementing sustained social and economic development plans, whether in infrastructure projects, job creation and Saudization, uplifting operational efficiency and honing up the competitive edge in the telecom and IT industry.
