STC achieves above 91% Saudization
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 17 - 12 - 2012

JEDDAH – Further to its sustained efforts to rely on the national labor force, Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) realized the highest corporate Saudization level, exceeding 91 percent, through employment and development programs consistent with its vision for employing national resources.
In this regard, STC participated in the open day employment exhibition at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the University's Director Dr. Khaled Al Sultan.
Al Sultan toured STC's pavilion at the exhibition, where he was briefed about the latest services that the company offers to customers, in addition to the employment opportunities that it offers to graduates.
Through its participation, the company aims to attract and employ distinguished graduates and is a continuation of the company's active role in employing Saudi youth from various fields.
STC received the Prince Nayef Award for Saudization and the GCC Labor Ministers' Localization Award for its active role in this respect across the Gulf region.
On Sunday, slashed by 50 percent all outgoing calls, SMS and MMS, to Bahrain for its National Day.
STC had offered many similar discounts to other countries, powered by the company's international gate which employs the latest technologies in its networks to ensure that customers and expatriates enjoy smooth calls to and from the Kingdom, and uninterrupted communication with their loved ones overseas, at half the price.
STC always strives to present similar “national day” offers to countries that have a significant community living in the KSA.
The initiative comes in line with the company's commitment to providing exceptional services with excellent quality that lives up to customer expectation and to the company's name and position as the top leading telecom service provider in the region. – SG
