GROHE, the world's leading premium brand for sanitary fittings, extended its partnership with Sharbatly Foundation (HAS FOUND) as part of the regional implementation of its global water sustainability initiative GROHE WaterCare in Jeddah. After the success of the first implementation at the Sharbatly Mosque in Jeddah in 2012, the extension of the collaboration will see 19 mosques fitted with GROHE's sustainable water solutions across the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia holds some of the highest per capita water consumption rates in the world and is the world's largest producer of desalinated water making up 17 percent of the total world output and at 250 liters, the Kingdom's water per capita consumption is 91 percent higher than the international average. GROHE's fittings will enable the mosques to make considerable water savings to the benefit of the mosques and the environment, whilst raising awareness about the importance of water conservation. GROHE are the exclusive suppliers for all the Sharbatly Mosques in Saudi Arabia using the Euroeco Cosmopolitan S Self-Closing pillar taps on all new construction and renovation of the Sharbatly Mosques. Renovation will start on 4 mosques for this year out of a total of 19 across the region.
