JAZAN — A Saudi in his 30s committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope from a ceiling fan in his house in Sabya governorate. Spokesman for Jazan police Col. Awadh Al-Qahtani said the victim was mentally ill. Fingerprints were lifted from the scene and the body was transported to the local mortuary. A retired citizen also tried to commit suicide in Sabya by setting himself on fire. A family member rescued him and he was transported to hospital for treatment.
