Abdul Rahman Al-Ali Saudi Gazette JEDDAH – Some 30 people trapped in flood-hit villages in Tabuk have been rescued and flown to safety by Civil Defense personnel. “We are using five aircraft to conduct rescue operations,” said Maj. Gen. Muhammad Al-Harbi, Commander of Civil Defense Aviation. So far the aircraft have completed over 50 hours of sorties over Tabuk, he noted. Meanwhile, the spokesman of Tabuk governorate said that SR13,500,000 has been earmarked to help those who have sustained damages following the heavy rains.
