Prince Mesha'l Bin Majed, Governor of Jeddah, on Wednesday launched an exhibition of national industries and consumer products at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “The exhibition highlights the ability of domestic producers to meet the requirements of the Renaissance development and to strengthen the Kingdom's market,” Saleh Al-Turki, head of the JCCI said. Al-Turki stressed that the exhibition gives manufacturers and consumers an opportunity to communicate directly with one another. National industries have witnessed a qualitative leap recently and expanded the scope of mergers and opened up new opportunities for industries and products, Al-Turki added. “This expo is familiar to the general public and each year they expect something more innovative from us,” Mohammad Al-Qasim, Marketing Manager, Jeddah International Exhibitions said. About 95 companies dealing mainly in food items for Ramadan, other items of plastics, some household stuff, electronic and furniture are taking part in the exhibition. Ala'a Idris, from Al-Seqala Group, said they were mainly introducing their Futur and Suhur discounts and special offers in this expo. “Due to a large number of tourists in Jeddah, we are trying our level best to give them the best through our catering services.” Khalid Zahrani, owner of Jafer Dates Factory, said dates have a special place in Ramadan. Regardless of the high prices in the market, dates business is never down, he said. Mansoor Edris, from the Sales and Marketing Dept., Wataniya group, said that they have introduced all the organic products in this expo. __
