DPS Riyadh: Dynamic management, experienced faculty
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 26 - 01 - 2013

The Delhi Public School-Riyadh, (DPS-Riyadh), is one of the best-equipped schools in the Kingdom's capital city with world-class facilities for students that support excellence in all areas.
“Children grow up in a society that demands expertise in everything. One can really cannot sit back and decide that learning from textbooks is enough for the overall development of a child. It's the age of specialization and our children cannot afford to miss out on this window of opportunity in this demanding world,” says Mairaj Khan, Principal of DPS Riyadh.
“The key strength of DPS Riyadh is its dynamic management and experienced faculty. We also provide excellent training in sports for our students, which make them confident and multitalented.”
He adds, “DPS-Riyadh has been recognized throughout the Kingdom as a brand known for its progressive approach and commitment to excellence through well designed instructional program and 7b7 flexible and unique school management systems.
The school premises are being shifted to Um-ul-Hammam (behind Euromarche) to facilitate the children with spacious classrooms and better sports facilities.
“Three separate buildings, for kindergarten, girls and boys have been utilized which provide a fantastic world class infrastructure that is required to conduct the school in line with the recommendations of the CBSE and Cambridge Boards.
“All the three campuses have a good playground, well ventilated classrooms, dedicated areas for art, craft, music, library, canteen, computer lab, science and math lab. The entire facility is planned to make it comfortable for children to attend school and make it a place for fun and learning be it the colors chosen for interiors or the allocation of areas for various facilities.
“The school's main objective is to focus on quality education, embodying a high standard of ethical and moral values. The overall aim is to make citizens conscious of their responsibilities, while learning holistic and value-based educational lessons to realize their dreams.
“The DPS schools also seek to develop positive attitudes, life skills and academic excellence relevant to the time.”
On the future plans of the DPS management, which always strives to provide better education, “We have plans to introduce a training program by Quest4Education, an organization which has been created to give Mathematics and Science coaching to Indian students abroad to prepare them for engineering entrance examinations,” said the principal.
The school is being managed by Nadeem Tarin, a philanthropist, and Dr. Ibrahim Bin Hamad Al-Quayid, a leading Saudi educationalist. “The school is a part of 135 DPS schools all over India and the world and is under the patronage of the DPS Society,” said Khursheed Khan, Director of Finance, DPS Riyadh.
