Abdulrahman Al-Ali Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Security patrols have detained two Pakistani nationals for stealing electricity cables. A Saudi found the individuals sneaking into an electricity plant in the Mushrefah neighborhood. When the Saud noticed the men attempting to cut electrical cables, he immediately contacted the police. The police arrived on the scene and arrested the suspects as they were leaving the facility with the stolen property. According to investigators, one of the offenders is a residency violator while the other is a legal resident. They allegedly cut the cables to extract the copper wire to sell it at what authorities are referring to as “suspicious locations.” These locations are currently being monitored. Jeddah police spokesman First Lt. Nawaf Al-Boug praised the citizen for reporting the incident.
