MADINAH — The National Gas and Industrial Company said a circuit at a Madinah gas refining station that was damaged by a fire on Tuesday night is currently being repaired along with two other circuits and normal service has resumed. The company said in a statement that an investigation was under way to find out the cause of the fire, which caused three people to suffer minor burns. Earlier on Tuesday evening, spokesman for Madinah Civil Defense Col. Khaled Mubarak Al-Juhani said the accident happened due to a leakage. Safety officers at the company managed to extinguish the fire before Civil Defense staff arrived at the scene. Al-Juhani said the three workers, who suffered different degrees of burns, were taken by the Red Crescent to a hospital, adding that the Civil Defense sent four firefighting units, three rescue teams and an ambulance team to the scene. — SG
