Saudi Gazette report YANBU – An African housemaid was arrested by Yanbu police after she allegedly poured hot water over a one-year-old baby, Al-Madinah newspaper reported on Monday. The baby's father reported the housemaid to police after seeing the burns all over the victim's body. The medical report indicated that the baby sustained second-degree burns in the hands and the right ankle, adding that the baby's burns would be healed in a week, according to a spokesman for Madinah police. The housemaid told the police that she never meant to harm the baby. She was trying to give the baby a shower and used the hot water tap by mistake, she said. The case was referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution, the spokesman said.
