India Festival from Jan. 16

JEDDAH — India Forum is organizing India Festival 2013 showcasing different linguistic regions of the country.
The weeklong festival will kick off on Jan. 16 with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame Fareed Hassan Niazi performing. Muhammad Ahmad Tayyab, Director General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah province, will be the chief guest on the opening day. Ankita Mishra of Indian Idol will perform at the closing ceremony on Jan. 25.
The festival will showcase Tamil Nadu (Jan. 17), Kerala (Jan. 18) and Andhra Pradesh (Jan. 23). Entry tickets will be available at the Consulate General on a first-come first-serve basis.
