11th Indian diaspora day from Jan. 7-9

JEDDAH – The 11th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, the flagship event of the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India, will be held in Kochi, Kerala from Jan. 7-9, 2013. Indian Prime Minister will inaugurate the event on Jan. 8, 2013, the President of India will deliver the valedictory address on Jan. 9, 2013.
This year, the State Government of Kerala is the Partner State. Seminars on “NRIs in the Gulf”, “Skill Development”, “Tourism” and “Pure Sciences” will be held apart from plenary sessions on the Indian growth story, engaging the diaspora, etc. In the forthcoming convention, enthusiastic participation from the heterogeneous and diverse overseas Indian community spread across the globe is expected.
