Arab National Bank sponsored a workshop on “Technology Transfer in Saudi Arabia”, held in Fahd bin Sultan University, in collaboration with the University of Montreal. Distinguished scholars from well-known universities participated in this two-day workshop including Montreal (Canada), Lyon (France), Paviro (Greece), in addition to a number of local universities and international companies. The workshop addressed issues pertaining to the challenges of transferring technology in the kingdom, with a focus on identifying core technologies that contribute to the economic and social developments. The workshop also discussed important topics; such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, e-Government and e-Business, Information and System Securing, and Scientific Research in the Arab World. Obaid A. Alrasheed, Deputy CEO and head of Retail and Private Banking in Arab National Bank, said: “This sponsorship comes as part of the bank's commitment towards the local society and in support of technology and scientific research, being one of the main factors behind the development of our country.
