HUAWEI, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has announced the launch in Saudi Arabia of the company's first quad-core smartphone, the Ascend D1 quad, utilizing Huawei's own proprietary chipset and featured as part of the company's premier Ascend “Diamond” series.
Jiao Jian, President of Huawei Device in the Middle East, the upcoming release characterizes Huawei's heavy investments in research & development over the past year and underpins the company's recent arrival into the premium consumer electronics segment.
Powered by Huawei's own K3V2 quad-core 1.4GHz processor, the Ascend D1 quad offers a mobile cinematic experience like no other, with its high-definition 4.5-inch, 1280 x 720 Toshiba screen providing crystal clear images even under direct sunlight. The Huawei Ascend D1 Quad is a feast for all the senses, with Dolby Mobile 3.0 Plus sound enhancement and Audience earSmart voice processor for a superb audio experience.
With a design inspired by streamlined sports cars and measuring just 64.9mm wide, 11.5mm slim and weighing approximately 145g, the Ascend D1 quad fits your hand like a glove. Its 8-megapixel BSI rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and 1080p full HD video-capture and playback capabilities enable you to record your special moments in clearer, richer detail.
The Ascend D1 quad also features an 8GB ROM, easily increased up to 32GB with microSD.
The Ascend D1 quad is priced at SR1,499 and is now available through Huawei's distribution partner AZAQ (Ali Zaid Al Quraishi & Brothers Co. LTD) in retail outlets across KSA including E-max, Carrefour, Extra, Lulu, Hyper Panda, Bin Dawood, Manuel, Ahmed Abdul Wahed, Al Danub, Al Musbah, Jarir Bookstore and more.
The Ascend D1 quad is turbo-charged all around, combining good looks and performance with an exceptional audio visual experience.
