Ibrahim Alwi, and Abdullah Al-Abdali Okaz/Saudi Gazette Jeddah — An Ethiopian maid allegedly murdered her sponsor and attempted to murder his nine-year-old son in the victim's house on Jeddah's Heraa Street. She murdered the sponsor, who had an operation a few days ago, while he was asleep, police said. She then allegedly attacked the son with an iron and threw dishes at him. He suffered multiple wounds but managed to run to the roof and jumped to the neighbor's roof to escape. The maid then locked herself in her room and pretended to be psychologically unstable, police said. However, the family she worked for confirmed she was sane. Police attended the scene and arrested the maid. The child was transported to hospital and is in a stable condition, while the victim's body was transported to the mortuary.
