ARAR — Saleh Al-Esaimi returned home from Iraq, weak and exhausted. He was accused of illegally entering the country, and of having ties to the Al-Qaeda group. He was sentenced to be executed, but appealed the sentence and was retried. He was then sentenced for 6 years in prison. The Red Cross eventually intervened and the court agreed to his release.
