Suhail N. Wani YANBU — Indo Riders, Kabbani, Natpet, Cristal and Kashmir XI scored crucial wins in the ongoing YACA T20 Championship here. In the first encounter, Indo Riders beat Saudi Ossan by three wickets. Saudi Ossan opted to bat first, but was bundled out for 78 in the 19th over. Zahid was the highest scorer with 17. Abid and Jassam claimed two wickets each. Indo Riders achieved the target in the 16th over and lost seven wickets in the process. Francy was the top scorer for the team with 32 and the effort earned him the Man-of-the-Match award. In the second match, Kabbani beat Shah XI by 25 runs. Deciding to bat first, Shah XI scored 154-5. Saeed batted brilliantly for his 68 and was ably supported by Aftab (50). Muddaser picked up two wickets. In reply, Kabbani could score only 129, thanks largely to Waseem's 43. Adnan and Saeed claimed 2 wickets each. Saeed was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match for his all-round performance. The third match saw Natpet beat Pak Crescent B by three runs. Natpet, after being put into bat, was bowled out for 116. M. Shoaib was the top scorer with 28. Mazhar bagged 3 wickets. Pak Crescent line-up faltered in the face of some accurate Natpet bowling, which restricted it to 113. Fayyaz scored 21, while Sohrab, Shareef, Zeeshan and Ali claimed 2 wickets apiece. Shorab Alam picked up the Man-of-the-Match honor for his all-round performance. In the fourth match, Cristal beat RC by 6 wickets. Electing to bat first, RC scored 100-8. Azmath was the top scorer with 20. Jamil and Naqeb bowled well to claim 2 wickets each. In reply, Cristal reached their target in 10.2 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Moiz was the top scorer with 30, while Sajid scored 24. Nawaz claimed 2 wickets. Jamil was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match. In the fifth encounter Kashmir XI beat Pak Green by 27 runs. Kashmir XI opted to bat first and scored 133-7. Zaheer remained unbeaten on 36. Sanaullah claimed one wicket. In reply, Pak Green was bundled out for 106 with Hamza scoring 17. Fawad claimed a five-wicket haul, while Tariq bagged two. Fawad picked up the Man-of-the-Match honor.
