RIYADH — The Ministry of Education is likely to discipline a teacher for not teaching his students what's right, even if it is following a team's success or failure, Al-Jazirah newspaper reported Wednesday. With soccer virtually being a passion in the Kingdom, the teacher was caught on camera with students supporting the Al-Fateh team flashing the victory sign after their stunning victory over Al-Hilal. What the photo brought in focus was that the teacher and all the students, bar one, were Fateh fans. The teacher made all the Fateh fans stand on the right flashing the V sign and the lone student, a Hilal fan and dressed in blue shirt, on the left of the class. This unique celebratory gesture followed the teacher writing the game's score, 2-1, on the blackboard. The photo went viral on social networking sites, and it also caught the ministry's attention. The ministry's spokesman said they are currently searching for the school where the photo was taken, pointing out the teacher's behavior is totally unacceptable. He added that a committee is to be formed to assess the effects of the teacher's action on children then it would help decide disciplinary action on the teacher. — SG
